Last updated: July 2026 — DRAFT, pending review

This policy explains what data BooM BoT ("the bot") stores, why, and what control you have over it. The short version: the bot stores the minimum it needs to run rosters and vetting — Discord IDs, Clash of Clans account data, and war history — and none of it is sold, shared, or used for anything beyond the bot's features.

What we store and why

Discord data. Server IDs, channel and role IDs you configure, and the user IDs and display names of members who interact with the bot (linking an account, signing up, being rostered, creating or receiving a flag). Used to route posts, enforce permissions, send placement DMs, and attribute actions. The bot does not read or store general chat messages; the one exception is recognizing ClashPerk's own link-confirmation messages in order to mirror account links, and only the account tag and named user are taken from those.

Clash of Clans account data. Account tags, in-game names, town-hall levels, leagues, and trophy counts, retrieved from the official Clash of Clans API for accounts in clans linked to a server using the bot.

War and membership history. Per-season CWL statistics (stars, destruction, missed attacks, benched rounds), clan join/leave events, and periodic trophy snapshots. This is the basis of the vetting feature. Player history is stored globally — cross-server visibility of war performance is the point of vetting — and keyed by account tag.

Flags. Flags created by server leaders include the flag type, reason text, the creating server and leader, a snapshot of the player's statistics at creation time, and any dispute correspondence the player submits. Flags marked global are visible to other servers running the bot; internal flags are visible only to the server that created them.

Configuration and content. Server settings, uploaded branding images, roster notes, and signup responses.

What we do not do

  • No selling, renting, or sharing of data with third parties.
  • No advertising, tracking, or analytics beyond aggregate operational metrics (command counts, error rates) that contain no player names or message content.
  • No storage of Discord message content, passwords, or payment information. In-game API tokens used for account verification are checked against the Clash of Clans API and not retained.

Retention

Data Retention
Trophy snapshots Rolled up; raw snapshots deleted after 45 days
CWL season and attack history Retained to power vetting
Clan membership events Retained to power vetting
Flags Expire after 1 year by default (configurable per flag); resolved flags remain in history
Server configuration and branding Until changed, or the bot is removed and deletion is requested
Signup backups (from resets) Short-term, for accident recovery

Your rights

Players can ask for their linked accounts to be unlinked, their flags to be reviewed through the built-in dispute process, or their stored history to be deleted. Server administrators can request deletion of their server's data after removing the bot. For either, contact us in the support server; identity is verified against the Discord account making the request. Deletion requests are honored within 30 days, except where a record must be kept to prevent abuse of the flag-dispute process.

Third parties

Game data comes from the official Clash of Clans API (Supercell). Bot data is hosted on infrastructure provided by our hosting and database providers. A planned integration will read historical war data from ClashKing's public API. BooM BoT is not affiliated with Supercell; see Supercell's Fan Content Policy.

Children

The bot is intended for users who meet Discord's minimum age requirements and does not knowingly collect data from children below them.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be announced in the support server, and the date above updated.
